Rose Fertilizer Question - Z6 NJ

I recently moved a very small rose bush (Oh My floribunda) because over the years the Ninebark it was planted near had shaded it out and the plant was now rather small (although the roots were still nice and big and healthy). Should I just add more composted cow manure amd humus around the plant or should I use a special rose fertilizer? And if I use a specialized fertilizer, any recommendations? I've included a picture of the plant. It's already put out some more leaves.

If you must do something now, a light touch is best, in my opinion (based on my unfortunate experience).

@rifis (zone 6b-7a NJ) That's why I was thinking of just adding more compost around the plant.

in every plant post.. tell us where you are ...

fert issues up north.. are a function of the fert being used up.. by sept.. so the plants can slow down and go into dormancy properly...

there should be no issue about fert in july ... as long as you dont get carried away ...

when i grew roses.. i gave each plant a good dose of 6-6-6 june 1.. july 1.. and august 1... and then that was it for the season in my MI ...
