You can't have a roof in the middle of the window over the front door. You need a permit. You need a drawing. Get an architect in your area for a design that works with your home. Local to you. You will get no result in a crowd sourcing method, here. Especially not with one picture of that quality : )

Not room for much with that arched window.

You could fit a canvas or metal awning.

Adding a portico would require removing the arched window which would not be a big loss imo.

Perhaps the roof rake on the left could be extended to form one side of the portico roof.
