Those are brown sheers? What is the size of the room? What color is the rug?

A sleek platform bed might work.

Are the walls and/or comforter gray? Gloomy gray?

Are the drapes and flooring dark brown? Gloomy brown?

So why tinted windows at all? I do not see the sheers but if the brown is them a really odd choice . IMO window coverings are one of the last things you choose when doing bedroom decor. Get a bed you love then come back here in this post and show us the new bed and also the bedding you love that is where a nice bedroom starts.

Based on that gorgeous painting and dresser...Lavender/Blue and Peach/Pink with Tan and Gold metal as neutrals.

The painting and dresser would look good in any of these inspiration rooms, and the bedset with the right bedding maybe. A soft headboard would be nice.

Blues are the coolest tones so the blue in the painting may be enough in this room. Add a touch of that blue somewhere to tie it in.

I can't figure out how to reply to an individual comment but in response to the comments above:

I am still figuring out my style but am drawn to more organic modern looks with warm tones. The colour selections for walls and carpets were made over 2 years ago and my tastes have changed since then.

The sheers are a darker brown but they look grey with the lighting, carpet is a dark grey, walls are white. I originally had a light rug in there (uploaded additional photo to show previous rug and duvet cover) but I felt like it was clashing too much

I had the windows tinted for privacy as the bedroom is at the very front of the house but didn't realise it was going to make it so dark in there as I previously have had tinted windows where the light wasn't affected as much.

Really just looking for advice on what colours/tones to use when changing the furniture to help warm up the room and make it look more put together

Thanks for sharing that info. You want warm? Ditch all the gray.

You want to keep the brown window coverings? Brown is a warm color - build your color palette off the brown. Cream, tan, gold, salmon, peach, orange, red, certain tones of green.

GO get bedding you love that IMO is the way to design a bedroom decor. Right now all you will get is 100s of ideas with still no plan . IMO I happen to love gra bedrooms in fact this is one of my all time faves.Not anything saying not warm. I think if the gray rug is staying then the brown drapes need to go so get the bedding .
