Can anyone identify this shade of yellow? Want to paint my shed the same color but having trouble finding a color match. Thanks in advance!

I would not consider the siding in these images yellow

Plan to visit a paint store and grab some sample chips for comparison. No other way to do this.

I don't think it is yellow, either. It could be Hardie Plank siding in Heathered Moss. Sun light would make it more yellow.

    ^ this.

if you want an exact paint match, see if you can grab a scrap piece of siding somewhere and take it to the paint store.

    it's a yellowish/green

if the shed isn't attached, it would prob be better to do a color that's close to it or even a coordinating color. don't worry about matching it exactly.

Thanks! I’ve tried paint samples but can’t find an exact match. It is definitely a yellow/ keylime green but looks differently depending on light. Appreciate all the ideas

Any ideas on what good coordinating colors might be for the shed? I’ve thought about all white or all dark green (siding and trim on shed? Would love other ideas though.

lets see the whole area. how is the shed placed in relation to the house?

Shed is along the back fence of the yard. It’s a small lot but the house and shed are not attached to one another

Take a picture in a spot that is in full sun, with the sun at your back. The shadows add gray to any color.

Someone suggested getting color chips from a paint store to match with your existing siding. Unless you have something painted the color of your house that you can take into a paint store that's about the only way I can think of to match.

If you can't take a piece (no extras) with you and you don't have any information on the brand, color of the siding, you could purchase a Color Muse and use it to identify the color.

    https://www.amazon.com/COLOR-MUSE-Colorimeter-Matching-Instantly/dp/B01KKEMIF0?th=1

Other options depend on where your home is located and age of the home.

If you live in a tract home or builders development and the siding is likely original to the home you should be able to find out through the HOA or the builder what siding they used.

If it is an older home and this is probably added after the original build then I would take some pictures to the local builders supply store and home depot / lowes and ask what brands they have that are similar in color and get a sample to take home and match.

Have someone who knows what they are doing take a piece off - take the piece to a paint store and have them color match it.

Thanks for the input. I’ve decided to go in a different direction and find a dark green color for the shed. Considering SW greenblack or jasper. Probably a matte finish.

If you have other dark green paint ideas that pair well with the yellow main house color, please send my way!
