Extend it where ? I think only to make it deeper and so what is the plan for the extension .You do not have any space to the left side for sure I would never want a garge bigger than the house facade so I nned more info please . Answer here in a comment DO NOT strat any other post on this subject.

We wanted to put an addition on the house and the builder recommended extending the garage out 12 to 16 feet toward the street.   Then we would be able to have the extra room and a 2 5 car garage.   I'm having a hard time visualizing it.

We had originally wanted to do it on the back of our house,  but they said they wouldn't be able to get the equipment back there bc the houses are close and we are on a lake. And also have a screened in pool.

It will be a behemoth. It will look like you built a garage with a house attached to it.
