Please help with how to measure for replacement porch railing

Please see the photos. Currently there are two separate railing pieces and four posts to the concrete. I don’t think there’s a way to connect all railing together seamlessly, so I guess I’ll need five posts and two railing pieces? Any other suggestions or what’s the best way to measure this all out? Will the stores help me out?

The way that porch is built, you should have railings on both sides of it, for safety reasons. Its not safe the way it is.

I think I’m grandfathered in now with the railing. I don’t like the look of it completely encased in PVC railings and posts

Often one is only grandfathered in until you start a replacement, and then you have to meet current code.

Looks are important, of course, but, safety for yourself, or a loved one, is about 100 times more important.
