There are no circumstances whatsoever where a gray floor is a good choice. Pick something that actually looks like natural wood.

None of those. They are all to icky dead and done gray. Gray was never a good idea for floors to begin with.

Outerbanks isn’t gray

You can't properly make a choice from pictures, even ones taken in "real" life. Can you at least share a photo of how the outerbanks sample looks in your space?

I personally think the outerbanks looks better in photos. The asher gray seems more rustic and has too many knots for my taste.

ALL of those are too cold and gray. You need warmer tones to even reach a neutral balance.

I'm not seeing any grays in the outerbanks. I think it will look good with your white walls, assuming they have a little warmth in them and don't have gray undertones.

You do not see the significant gray graining?

A lighter toned wood look, without any of the charcoal or ash tones, would be the direction that I would suggest.

IMO you cannot choose flooring from a monitor you go get a box bring it home and see how it looks in your house with your stuff and your lighting and yes most of those you shaow have gray in them maybe not the top left one . IMO why not just do the same floor you have on the main floor and for sure the stairs need to match the main floor.

You are all so very negative and not even answering my original question. For the ones saying “ew grey” and “none of those” - let’s see what’s good in your book.

The Shaw site puts the outerbanks floor in the brown category. Yes, it has some darker charcoal shading but it's a long way away from the striped gray floors used by flippers over the years.

Nothing beats the beauty of real natural wood. No picture of wood under plastic will ever compare. But if you are going to choose a fake wood, it should not look so fake. The choice in the upper right is the only one that people will not be tearing out into dumpsters in a few years time.
