Better to go with broom/ brush Finishing concrete to creates a textured, slip-resistant surface. Then after a month or so apply a sealer.

I like the clear water- based sealer, because it will leave your concrete with its original natural appearance. You can do it yourself, very easy to apply.

Glossy sealers on any flooring or walking surface can be walked off. Traffic patterns will appear. I would not recommend them on any outdoor surface.

I'd choose a medium grey concrete brick to frame the poured segments instead of gravel.
