I think you can get away with the gold. Maybe putting gold objects on the mantel such as candle sticks can help it all tie together

Okay! I wasn't too sure if you had to match the mirror and sconces. Kind of like matching your shoes to your purse - if that's even a thing anymore!

What you want is not electrical sconces but wall hung candle sconces.

I really do not like wall sconces so some mantel decor and no sconces would be my choice but i aslo think mirrors work best when they refct something woth seeing twice and that does not appear to be the case here .

It doesn't look like you necessarily need sconces. You could easily do artwork with a light over it, a mirror by itself, or try some candlesticks on the mantle. Here are the ideas we've provided you with visuals to go with it.
