Is the furniture in the pics yours? Can we see the rug. I do not usually like gray and brown together but what I see does not really show me much that you are working with . I would strat by getting the TV off that FP it is way too high for proper viewing Put it on the wall where you have that really cool mirror and put the mirror in the entry where IMO it belongs with a console table under it. I have theses rugs in my LR I have them with white leather, gray taffetta drapes and some pillows with gold , white and adrak gray. No brown , I could see navy in the mix but not brown I like navy and caramel brown toghether but not gray in that mix . Maybe explain why the brown? I assume the chairs are brown but hard to tell. I really dislke shutters or blinds that block light and views so for me solar shades if you have heat and lighth control issues, the shades let you keep the view and I mix them with drpes for night time privacy if that is an issue. So post a pic of the rug and a better pic of thos echairs . Post here in a comment DO NOT start another post .

Your room is not so light. I think that navy blue would be too dark. I would go with multy color rug and light drapes

If the furnishings are yours and are staying in the room, I don't think you need curtains but if you do I would pick a white-on-white ornate damask to go with your monumental mirror and white shag/flokatii for the floor. Take away the plant near the window and replace the black pillows on the sofa with something colorful and fun in a similar size.

You might consider trying a rug with gold and navy and doing some sort or light window treatments with a pattern. Try looking around online and you might find plenty of options.

You might want to do a little more subtle with the navy, and maybe choose some drapes that have navy, gold, and grey in them, not just solid navy.
