Laminate upstairs vs downstairs help!

We have done a bunch of remodeling on our house. The problem is that it has all had to be piecemealed, mostly because we remodeled certain things not knowing that other things would get remodel after a bit of bribing my husband. Since it happened this way, i ended up choosing certain designs that i nornally wouldnt have chosen if id known i would have been able to remodel the other things. I hope that all makes sense hahaha). so ANYWAY, my dilemma is that we put laminate through the entire downstairs and its not my color of choice but its what looked best with the other fixed elements(at the time). Now everything downstairs is the way i want it, except the floor color which is a gray with some cream in it, but wayyy more gray than i want. its crema oak by pergo. Now we are working on the upstairs and putting laminate all throughout, except bathrooms. My question is, is it dumb or not normal or whatever to choose the color that i wish was dowstairs(which is more warmer natural wood tones) for my upstairs and have the different color laminate downstairs? i ask this because if there is ever a chance that i get the opportunity to have the color i want downstairs , then it‘d be way cheaper and less work to replace one floor level instead of the whole house. But that could be a slim chance so if its best to keep the same color everywhere should i just do that even though its not my desired color?

Thank you all
