The ship has sailed on the driftwood gray floors. When picking a fixed element, you want to find something that’s more timeless (e.g., looks like real wood). Medium wood stain or even a pale/stainless look will serve you better in the long run.

I have gray countertops and hickory cabinets. Just hard to find a floor that we like. I don’t want anything stone or stone looking. A stylist said best to contrast than to try to match.

That floor is just awful with those cabinets, and awful period. You need something that looks like real wood. Either lighter or darker. With zero gray in it. None of that gray work. At all.

I would say that floor is a hard no with the cabinets. There are many beautiful tones in the hickory that you could pull out and use for the floor. Keep it as natural as possible. And not much grain movement. Your hickory is busy enough, no need to add more. You don’t want your kitchen to look like a garage sale.

If you want to stay with the same line, I would try one of these instead.

I usually suggest floors that provide a background instead of trying to make a statement. So, the less patterning the better.

I think that gray LVP looks fine with hickory cabinet and gray counter tops. It is not that gray tone floors are complete out of the picture.

Sorry, but nope. That gray is sickly looking compared to how alive and real the hickory looks.
