Yes, floral, it's doing well, but in places it is still recovering from last years drought, which killed a lot of the top growth, grasses included. That's nature though. :-)))))

Those Hedychium do look fantastic. I wish I could get them to bloom for me here, but I think the winters are too cold. The Cornish hedge looks amazing! I wish I had a good spot for one: it would be the perfect spot for lots of rock garden plants.

What is the dark red flowered plant on pic. 3? Or, better still, can you post a picture of it and let us try to id it? More fun than just being told the answer.

Nice. I wondered about Calycanthus but the flowers looked much larger than I imagined. Never seen one in the flesh. Is it 'Aphrodite'?

Nice plant and flowers, but not scented to me.

I did read that individual plants/flowers can be scented as and when they feel like it.
