Were going to be building this next year in Oregon. Willamette Valley area with lots of rain in the winter and now warmer temps in the summer. Main floor living is going to have a large open living space over looking a creek below the house so quite a few windows will be on the main floor. I'm struggling with going vinyl vs fiberglass. To make it even more complicated my wife wants black windows inside and out. I've been considering MIlgard V300 trinsic but am curious about milgards C650 ultra in fiberglass. I went by our local Builders first source and was chatting with their window guy and he said the milgard vinyl in black is anywhere from 30-40% more in cost than white. With that added cost it seems like I could get a fiberglass C650 or Anderson A-series or even their cheaper 100 series. I would also prefer the windows to have a build-in flange and not one of the clip/slide in type if at all possible. I'm also open to other brands if you have a recommendations. This is a home we hope to be in for the next 10-15+ years.
