3”’pulls wete classically chosen for 80+ years of modern kitchen design. They dtill are used. This idea of all different sized pulls infiltrated from super modern European slab door kitchens with all drawers. The big long pulls accentuated the horizontal element of drawers. It has zero to do with function, and looks really ridiculous on traditional style cabinets.

I like pulls to be in proportion to the cabinet or drawer size it takes time to figur e out the whole thing but IMO a nice look for a more modern kitchen This pic is a good exapmple of a mix of not only sizes but also some vertical and some horizontal. I think if you want real help post pics of the space and the new door style .I sure hope you redid some of the lower cabinets to be drawers for sure . Post those pics here in a comment DO NOT start another post.

High. I would need to see a photo of your kitchen. Every kitchen is not the same, in terms of hardware choice.

My kitchen is more transitional - but I went with three different sizes depending on door size. None were the modern 1/3, though.
