I don't think so. In my bathroom the mirrors start 9" off the counter. I don't have wall-mounted faucets, but an arched-neck faucet. I have medicine cabinets, so the doors have to clear the faucet. I don't think 8" is that unusual. While I don't know how high these mirrors are, they look like at least 8" from the counter to me. There are plenty of examples like this out there.

I have the exact setup- 24" deep cabinets 36" tall, 12" splash with wall mount faucets. Be very careful calculating sink size and spout length!. Husband is 5'4 and has no issues.

Here is mine:

- counter height 35.75"

- medicine cabinet 7.75" above counter (placed at this exact height so door swing can clear the faucet height)

I am short so I would not want a mirror/cabinet placed any higher. My mirror/cabinets are 48" tall because I have high ceilings. I think people tend to buy hanging mirrors that are too small for the space available.

Mine is about 12 inches, I’m only 5’4” and it’s not too high.

I'm looking at a 14.5" deep sink placed in the center of the countertop (leaving 4.75" on the front and back), and a faucet with a 9.5" spout reach.

My bath countertop is 33" high, and the bottom of the medicine cabinet starts at 50". My wall mounted faucets split the difference between the top of the countertop and the bottom of the medicine cabinet. When I read what the height of the others' cabinet are (36"), I am a bit surprised at the difference. My cabinet does not seem in the least low to me, and it is used by 6' 1" people (not me of course).

My spout length is 9 1/2". What you should pick should depend on "where" you sink is positioned relative to your wall. I have an unusual cabinet and unusual sink, so I had to have wall-mounted faucets because I didn't have room enough to install the faucets on the countertop.

To me it depends on how you use mirrors and which ones. When thers a large mirror that goes all the way down to a short backsplash and a lower counter, you get a good view of not only face but upper outfit, even knee- length view.

With smaller, higher mirrors it may be that’s mainly for face & hair.

also don’t have wall mount faucets, but our tile backsplash is 9”. Mirrors mounted touching the schluter trim. They’re not too high. I’m 5’6” and hubby is 6’6”

I dont think so but I am doing a wallmount faucet in my powder and had the same concern about the mirroe being too high until i looked at a lot of examples. Here is a photo of an example.

Tilting mirrors work great.

I never do the regular height riser in a bath. It's too short and ugly. I always go up to six or more, and cut outlets into the riser ( usually those are turned 45 degrees. )

Nobody has an issue seeing themselves in the mirror. Six right below and higher would still have been just fine

"Sheet mirrors".............. curious why? you might want to re think that, given the cool look of wall mount faucets?

Just make sure that kids can see themselves in guest baths or other baths they may use often, My grand has issues being tall enough to see while brushing teeth, etc

@RNmomof2 zone 5 - This is my concern. Do you have a photo of the bathroom layout that causes issues for your grandkids? Or do you know how high the mirror is in that space? I was thinking that a high enough step stool would alleviate the height issue, but I'm not sure.

@JAN MOYER - I was leaning towards sheet mirrors for hygienic reasons. It's easier to wipe down a mirror than to clean toothpaste/gunk off of a painted wall or wallpaper. I want wall-mount faucets for the same reason - easier to keep clean than deck-mounted faucets. However I'm not sold on the idea.

@kit2022. My mirror starts at 47 inches. It is a framed full wall mirror. When I stand in front of the 24 inch deep counter, I can see myself from the waist up.

Is this a guest bath? I assume it is.

I never MET a bath with any regular use, that didn't need a thorough cleaning every single week minimum. As to what's difficult about it ? That depends mobility and energy and commitment.

As to kids? They GROW and fast. They don't live with you I assume. I don't ever underestimate the longevity and classic aspect of a bath. They're a pain to redo. Lots of things are fun, even reinventions from the past! I include wall mounted faucets in that genre along with trough sinks! Cute but maybe better in pictures than daily practice.

You'll get more help if you show the entire bath layout, and a few inspo pics. Generally? It's not necessary to re invent wheels. You're worrying on whether they can see themselves.......if very young? I'd worry on whether they can reach the taps: )

I see no plus to wall mounted as to cleaning they all get grubby but I think the mirror should not be an issue but be aware spalshing from the wall mounted will be just the same as deck mount. I like deck mount solely for the fact that if there is a leak issue easily accessed.

My basement bathroom top is at 36", and has an 8" backsplash. Mirror has a 30" diameter and it's at a perfect height for average people.

We have ours higher, but they swivel/tilt so it's a non-issue.

The mirror looks to be 45 inches or so off the floor. I would look at how high off the floor their head is now for a guesstimate.

Mirror shape also helps or hurts. In the kids bath the mirror is oval with a 3 inch(?) frame so the actual mirror is even more off the floor. I would get a rectangle (your sheet mirror would work) if concerned. I love the clean, uninterrupted look of a sheet mirror so don't let others sway your decision if that is what you want.

Emily Henderson has a wall mounted (goose neck) faucet in a bathroom (LINK). She mentions they placed their faucet 4" above the counter (undermount sink) tho not sure how high the mirror is mounted
