It will be fine. Your dining room table has stain on it that is non food safe too. You have multiple layers of protection and don’t plan to prep on the surface. You have nothing to worry about.

I'm not sure what the question is here. Yes, a film forming finish is, generally, a terrible idea on a butcher block top, as it will wear and look bad pretty quickly if you use the surface for a lot of cooking. The solutions is to sand or plane ot off and use something more suitable. Whether you do that now or after it degrades doesn't much matter.

If you're asking if something is going to crawl up out of the finish and through your cutting board to get into your food then the answer is no.

My question was regarding toxic stuff getting on dishes and things like that. So thank you for your responses. First time ever doing wood countertops. I know there will be wear and tear on it and hopefully it can last awhile, I’ll cross that bridge then. I’m just glad to know its ok now (:
