Ratios are pre-set and pretty well accepted amongst the manufacturers. Could be that the slightly larger sash and sill profile on the new windows is just throwing them off into the next size graduation to where the patterns look slightly offset.

Keep in mind that your neighbors windows have 3 vertical muntins which will make all of the boxes smaller and therefore less noticeable as to the offset. I think the half screen is also messing with the realized visual.

Pop the screen out and see if that doesn't change what you are seeing. But short answer long...there is nothing wrong with what they did. That would be a correct ratio and grid pattern for that size window.

That is great advice! I will try popping out the screens. They also had to put in new construction windows up top and replacement on the bottom ( house fire so there was no other way around it). This may be throwing off the looks as well. Just wondering if I should pay a couple grand to change bottoms to 50/50. It’s an added expense, so not sure worth the money or hassle. Keep in mind your second floor windows have the glass panes past the front face of the building, typical for new construction vinyl windows. Your lower windows look like what you asked for but you can measure to see if the upper and lower grids are the same size.

I'd agree with the other pros, everything look sas it should given the circumstances. The only real difference is that you have 3 horizontal "lites" vs your neighbor's 4. I think you will like it when all is said and done.
