I get the impression that the fireplace and the TV will face the support post and you will have no proper way to arrange furniture to view both comfortably.

That arrangement of TV/FP doesn't seem to make sense. All the furniture is facing away from it. Still cannot see the tile.

Hi, I am not sure what the furniture arrangement is in the living room it would be good to see the picture of the whole living room with the furniture. From what I can see here it doesn't look like you will be able to comfortably watch the TV with this placement, the wall is to much to the right, even with rearranging the furniture I am not sure if that is the best idea. Do you have another wall in your living room where you might be able to place the fireplace and than rearrange the furniture so it's centered?

I am also not understanding why you want to put a tv/fireplace there. It will just emphasize the "busy kitchen tile/color" instead of balancing it. Instead, use the existing artwork to add color to your living space, which will give the eye somewhere else to rest instead of the kitchen. Use fabric roman blinds on the big window to soften it. Get pillows and throws in accent colors to complement. Spend the $$ you will save by tearing out the carpet and matching the wood flooring from the kitchen in your living space, and add a nice area rug to ground the furniture.
