Could you post a pic of the house looking directly at the front, not angled? I think the current colors are nice, but the shutters should be removed from the larger windows on the left. Beefing up the porch posts might make a big impact, but the most dramatic change would come from professional landscape/ hardscape plans.

Maybe I haven’t had enough coffee yet, but I’m confused by the pictures. I don’t know what hm means and I don’t know if any of these pictures are actually your house.

I like your idea of gray house. Not sure about the red door with your color of brick, though. If you are thinking of making the other changes in your picture too, then yes, go for it.

If you do a red door, it should be an orangey red, to go with the warm colors of your brick. A slightly orangey yellow would be good, too. We can't make any comment on revising your house from that pic with the strange angle.

Putting a porch like that on your house would look funny. It would be narrow, because you have little room between your windows. It would be way off-center and possibly not aligned with your upper window. It would make the right side of your house look like a tacked on addition.

I'd remove the shutters, paint the trim a warm cream, beef up the entryway path and add some landscaping for starters.
