Noooooooo!!! Good thing i have an extra box.

I am still grieving over Cheer powder. What will disappear next? I have been using liquid for colors, but I hate it. Anyone think pods are a good option? I see Tide has 2 sizes of Pods now. Just hate measuring liquid.

Pic at a local/regional grocery chain on 11/1/2023. I don't know if they have an arrangement with P&G to carry Cheer or have a supply warehoused. I have two stashed boxes of Cheer. I bought a small bag of Ariel that day. May be Tide on the shelves above Gain, I don't recall. The chain's website says Tide powder is in stock at the local store.

There's Grab Green pods. Powdered detergent inside a pod. For those preferring unscented, last I checked, they have an unscented version. It's getting less and to choose from in powdered detergent world. I should probably get some bags for my own laundry room. I have a top load speed queen though and my dosage requirements are pretty high to be using pods...

Currently, I am using Biokleen free and clear powder. I like it, but unlike the now poofed Tide free and gentle, it, ime, can bleach out splotches on colors, so I use it only on white sheets and towels.

Dadoes has the good store over there.

SEA SEA dadoes' HEB is better stocked with powders than the HEB's in my area. I feel like I am going to have to buy a bunch of boxes of powder and hoard it. I can just see the look on my partner's face when I come in with 20 boxes of powdered detergent. Is there really a waning demand for powdered products? Is it based on supply and demand, or have the manufacturers decreed this is how it will be?

Pods for the DW were the perfect dosage-at least for ours. Once I read the articles about the plastic the pods are contained in going down the drain and polluting our waterways, I stopped using them. I still have a nearly full container of Finish pods. Switched to Cascade powder last week, so far so good. I'll have to watch for etching on the glassware and also to determine if the loads are as clean as they have been with the Finish pods.

Well it’s confirmed…..discontinued. i contacted Henkel and ”due to low demand All Free and Clear Powder has been discontinued”.

I have the same fear of pollution from pods. I would be hard pressed to give up my Finish tabs, but maybe I should try Cascade powder. Does Finish powder go bad? I have an old box I used from time to time. I wish I could find a powder for colors again. I used Tide & Cheer powder exclusively since I got my Bosch. What do you all use for colors?

Thank you maieranne for confirming. You saved me a call to the company. Well, drat. Spilled powder is easier to clean up than spilled liquid detergent. Good thing our small loads only use a teaspoon or two at a time and free clear liquids with no OBAs on our darks, so my powders will last a while.

You would think in this day and age they would keep powder detergent. First off the plastic jugs. Cardboard is better. Powder detergent goes further. Liquids make my Speed Queen smell like dirty mildewed socks. Back in the day when powders were the only ones available, I don't remember all the washing machine cleaners they sell today. YET, they sell overly fragranced fabric softeners, scent beads, and the fabric refreshers with citric acid. To cover up the stank?

I used Cascade powder for awhile and had a mineral type buildup on the undersides of my plates and so quit using it. It was hard to find in anything but the huge boxes and so we didn't go through it very fast so perhaps it got old??

I, too, have been using Biokleen F&C powder. It works well, better than the 7th Generation powder I was using that seems to also have gone the way of the dodo. I've not noticed the Biokleen bleaching any spots, but I only use it on sheets and towels -- although, I have colored sheets and towels and haven't noticed bleaching on those items. I use liquid 7th Generation F&C for my clothes. I have to order the Biokleen, it's not available locally; I get it off A*n.

mxk3 reminds me that I should have mentioned where I obtained the Biokleen F&C powder detergent. It was at Vitacost dot com. Not being a long time user of the stuff, not sure on the pricing, but I felt it was a little high for how much I got. However, the box came with a little scoop. I am following the directions for how much to use, this small amount seems to do the trick, even in my full fill Speed Queen top loader, so perhaps it wasn't too overpriced at that.
