I’m so used to having fans in the living room but when I think about it we don’t ever use it there nearly as much as we do in the bedrooms so I may skip it, and do a chandelier there instead. IMO the black is too much contrast so if you must use it sparingly in the lights not the handles. I love black and white but it still needs some color IMO I aslo often add wood to soften too much black and white . We collect art so for us the balck and white is nice backdrop.I agree no fan. I do however find B&W needs LED 4000K to keep those true.

Since you really have a blank slate, some black fixtures would look fine. i would suggest that you look into replacing the white outlets against your nice backsplash with color matching ones Look at Lutron colors, while not inexpensive, they will not call attention to themselves like the white ones do (wall acne).

You should be able to bring some wood elements in with the stools, cutting board, and maybe some bowls. You could then bring in some black with pendant lights, hardware, and the faucet. Below are some of the kitchens we have done, which might give you more ideas for you kitchen.
