Where to place lamp?

Hi everyone,
Merry Christmas!

A few weeks ago, I had posted a photo of our home’s entrance room that we were trying to furnish. We got some great ideas on colours and finally put something together that suits our needs. We have an individual on a wheelchair so we wanted to leave the Room open for them to move around (no central table). We got this beautiful plant for the corner, the cute carpet, and accessorized with these cute orange conversation chairs, but we are confused as to how to improve the lighting in the room?! (The ottomans are mobile and are not permanent). We are looking to place either a table lamp or a floor lamp in the room and would really appreciate some ideas on what kind and where to ideally position them in the room that will look good. Also, any ideas on any decoration pieces for the room? Thanks so much!!

I'd add 4 new lamps.

A picture light on the dark wall (add a large framed canvas art)

a floor lamp in the corner

I tall lamp at the end of the sofa and a table lamp on the console in the hall.

I'd up light the plant with some type of light that can placed inside the planter. I'd also select a floor lamp to be placed behind the orange chair and in front of the brown wall.

You need a floor lamp in the corner behind the armchair, for ambient light and reading. I would also put a table lamp on the side table beside the couch.

If the plant is real it needs light if fake it needs to not be there. You ned lighting between the chairs , one at least the one end table next to the sofa and this is one of my faves for getting light into the center of the space and it provides a spot to put a drink or your phone etc. The other pic is it in my LR

The colors in here a wonderful.

How much light do you need in this room and where? Steal some lamps from other rooms in your home and play around with them in here at different times of day and in different locations to see where and what form of light is most needed.

Will reading happen in this room? If so, I’d love a brass plug-in wall sconce.

Will the person in the wheelchair need to be able to reach and turn the lights on and off?

How large is the table next to the sofa and do you have room to place other things on it if a lamp is there?

Curious, how’s the rug working with the wheelchair?

Thanks everyone.

Kendrah- rug is working very well. It’s a power wheelchair. The lights are all connected to google so using the switches won’t be required. Not much reading- just a place to hang out. The table is about 18inches wide. It can def accommodate something in addition to a table lamp. Any recommendations?

Thanks Patricia- the plant is real. There is a small window in the nook and it gets plenty of natural light without direct light. I’ll look into this lamp.

Beverly thanks for the idea. I’ll look into the plant light!

I was also thinking of maybe fake flowers maybe bright in colour for one of the tables? Can’t think of another piece of decoration as an accent piece.
