Is wallpaper possible here?

Hello, this is my dining area, is there any possibility of putting up wallpaper and having look elegant and meant for the space? I have a wallpaper in mind, I just am not sure I can wallpaper the area because of the walls not being an enclosed room. Much appreciated!

    Look if you like it.

Do you mean the entire room, or just an accent wall? Can you show the other side of the room?

I think it would be fine to wallpaper it, depending on what the other side of the room is like (not open and adjoining another room with no stopping point). Celery illustrated nicely how it would stop at the corner if you did the whole room.

What wallpaper do you have in mind?

Those are great pics, thank you! Here’s a few more of the space, I’m puzzled where the wallpaper would end…

This angle is from the kitchen walking into the dining area.

My Selena is that long wall that is shared by the dining area and living room.

Thank you so much @Jilly! You and Celery have been so helpful! The wallpaper is by PhillipJeffries and it’s a digital mural on paper. I have t been able to find out how much it is so this might be a moot point 😬 if not that one then I’ll have to look harder 😉 it’s Called Flight and is available in a few colors.

I think that might be the Phillip Jeffries Flight wallpaper. Comes in many colors. Have you priced it out? Made to order ... you might be surprised at the cost!

I think I’d paper only the one wall that’s contained. The background of the paper looks to be very close to your wall color, so it won’t look out of place.

Yes Chiapas, that’s the one and it’s beautiful! I’m still trying the find the price. I wouldn’t be surprised as I’ve come across wallpaper that’s $820/roll! I never would have imagined they made such a thing but there must be some kind of demand 🙃

It is beautiful! You have excellent taste. 😁

Whatever paper you decide, if you go that route, I’d strongly advise going with muted colors and patterns.

If you love it so much (yes, it is lovely) but too expensive, consider framing it as art. You could try something like these, or even a tryptich (if the pattern works), as the third photo seems to suggest:

It would be hard for me to use this wallpaper, knowing that I would need to position it perfectly so that the birds were positioned well and that none lost their heads behind something or at a corner or doorway. I may do the clouds only vs the one with the birds and maybe do framed art with the bird design.

These are great ideas—I never considered framing for art but that’s brilliant! Thank you so much. And regarding the clouds and birds being perfectly lined up, that would very much bother me too.

@techi, there certainly is such as thing as beautiful and expensive wallpaper! ;-)

I know, because that is exactly what I fall in love with LOL! I've priced out a few murals/panels, but don't remember if I priced this one out. I'll look through my notes. It does look amazing in all the photos I have seen!

Just visited this house (pictured) and they have wallpaper that ends on a corner. It was cut very straight and looked great.
