I don't think all wood has to be matching. This is Leaf from Spalli. I think the shape is gorgeous. It actually comes in a number of different wood finishes, though I like this one best. You may want to look at them, at least to have something to aim for even if these aren't in your budget.

How about something like this. It is reminiscent of your fireplace mantle. I think it might coordinate rather well.

A few questions: what is it about your current chairs you don’t like? What is your budget? Do you prefer leather or fabric? Are there barstools nearby? Kids/pets?

Also, are you planning to get a rug? Because I agree if you get chairs that aren’t fabric, then something with texture should be added to the room.

No rug. We have three kids and a dog and I don’t like rugs in dining rooms personally.

Nothing really wrong with existing chairs but my husband has never loved them. We are likely relocating the current white chairs to our patio table.

I’m open to fabric or a bit of colour and texture. We have grey, camel, orange, blue and green elsewhere on this floor.

Budget is tricky. I’m probably being unrealistic but want to spend $300 or less per chair.

Some criteria to consider: Table’s location and style - recommend something that is simple but interesting. Your style - modern. Your needs - durable and comfortable. I think a nicely shaped black leather chair would be a good choice and will have longevity style wise.

These are all online stores but I am near some furniture stores and can take a look with relative ease.

If interested/like, perhaps you have a West Elm nearby, This one has lots of fabric options.

West Elm is where our living room chairs are from. They are a version of the camel one shared above. The cost of the dining chairs at West Elm is too high right now.
