Kudos to you for using the toe ductor to direct the air directly out the grille, vs heating up your entire cabinet!

Thank you. Do you think it’s necessary to caulk the housing to the floor? Or will the screws be enough to keep the heat from escaping?

The tape will do the job.

A can of spray foam insulation will do the trick. You can use it to seal all around the Toe-Ductor and fill in any gaps, too.
