Do you use this front door? If so, you may want a small table for keys, mail, etc. Otherwise, a bench, or sweet antique chair will look great there. And artwork, of course.

If you are not into artwork, and also you need something like a coat tree yhen you can google hall bench/hall coat tree or such. There are tall benches that have seating but also storage cubbies or hooks for coats and such. Remove the carpet as it is the worst invention of mankind! Then use the corner for whatever is convenient for living in the house whether it be a chair or a laundry basket or plain with pictures on the wall.

Bench with a storage can be very useful. You can use a nice custom cushion on top of it.

Something similar to this one from Ikea. You can put two or more of these together to fill up the space as needed. Or you could have one such piece and put taller plants on each side.

A small console table with a lamp and a mirror above it would be lovely. I noticed you have an electrical outlet there.
