Too many floor types. Pick two, any two. Replace the entry tile with the same slate.

I agree about using the same slate as the kitchen. It looks to be a good upgrade.

The same as the slaye in the kitchen you have already too many types of flooring so pick one you already have for sure.

Slate is the solution.

I might use just one of the colors of slate from the kitchen rather than using the mixed slate.

With the black on the fireplace I may go with the same pattern in the kitchen using only the dark black slate.
