I removed my range hood and installed an over-the-range microwave. Even though I sealed the vent ducting from my old range hood I have cold air coming in from this location. I also found leaves in my old ducting when I removed the hood. Is it safe to seal the cap/vent on my roof to keep hot and cold air from coming in and how do I do this?
