LVP and other artificial flooring tends to use trendy colors that eventually get discontinued or fade into the fad pile.

I don't think installing LVP over the tile will make a difference. Disclaimer: I do not like LVP anywhere. (You know the top is just a photo of real wood?. It adds no value to your home. Either do the entire first floor in an engineered hardwood, or change the rug in the family room and under the dining table (the one there now is too small).

Research carefully because there is a wide range in quality and price for engineered wood floors. You definitely want at least a 4 mm wood layer on your engineered plank.

Try some flooring virtually to narrow the field as to what you will consider. You cannot select anything too cool or gray because it won't work with your countertops.

Most of the LVT out there is a 'wood look'. That just might be too much wood for this room. Just my opinion. It's a mistake not to include the Family Room. Don't chop up your home into a hodgepodge of flooring.

These last two are porcelain tile which IMO is a better direction for the space.
