Is it soft closing?

Maybe find the brand of this one, and check with the mfr or dealer to see if there is a part that can be added to make it soft close.

It might be something like a different part of the slide mechanism.

Some cabinet companies offer the soft close, some do not and some offer both. You certainly can buy a new one and install it, if you really want one. What was on your cabinet order? Was it discussed with your designer? What brand are your cabinets, maybe we can look it up and let you know.

Top mount ones are the ones that generally offer the soft close. Not the bottom mount one.

Not true; ours is just like yours and soft-close. I’m sure you can swap out the glides.

Agree with Debbie...100%. Some offer it...some don't...and some offer both so you need to choose.

Thanks for all the responses! I talked to them and they confessed that the cabinet line they are using dosn‘t have a soft closing trash can. Since the contract said all need to be soft closing they have agreed to get an insert that is soft closing.
