A sectional/ chaise will also work in this room in they prefer this.

It’s a pretty small room for such a large piece of furniture. I wouldn’t.

Unless it's for a family with kids, a sectional is not very practical. You lose seating in the corner, and adults don't like to sit as close to each other as a parent and child might (i.e. snuggling). How many people do you plan to seat regularly?

If this is yoir familys tv room, or primarily a space for tweens or teens, you can absolutely place a sectional in this space. One side would be against the window.

And have a couch with two chaises. Works great for us.

I love a sectional in a cozy TV room.

You should be able to do a small sectional on one wall and the TV and console on another wall. They make apartment sized sectionals and reverse chaises so if needed you could look into those options as well.
