What is the floor you are standing on? Is it unrelated and not next to the room with the cabinet?

I find the two floors on the right to be a bit cool.

None of the choices complement the cabinet color..and any flooring with too many color variations looks distracting to me.. the warm golden tone of the cabinet door is lovely..so would try to find something closer to that tone in the flooring..i would also be worried about the “thin” layer of wood on engineered flooring in the kitchen …where the floors will experience much more stressful use..a dropped heavy pan? ..water overflow?…

Even though the one on the left is the best one of the three, it's still not great. I suggest you keep looking. You need something a lot warmer.

The walnut on the left makes your cabinets look inexpensive.

The wood on the right is the best of what you present.

I am such a believer in Coretec LVP..I strongly suggest you atleast look at look at their product..maintenance is minimal..installation very easy..looks like real wood

Please don’t “settle” for your floor color. I know it’s exhausting but you really need to find the exact right shade of brown for your floors. Without question, the color of the ENTIRE FLOOR OF YOUR HOUSE needs to be a shade you can enjoy - and one that works with your furniture.

Our house has (inherited) engineered wood floors that are too red for my taste, but I’ve worked with it by using a lot of rugs. Your cabinets are very pretty but the two floors on the right will definitely lean gray. A true brown floor, like real wood, is easier to work with and will complement your kitchen nicely. Check out Coretech as was suggested.

Thank you for the words of advice and encouragement. We’re doing an update in our forever home and would like to stay with real materials.

However the harvest of real wood from forests is devastating our environment..hence the “new” materials being developed to relieve that..

I was born in Redwood country..where these beautiful giants were nearly decimated by thoughtless harvesting

Of course they're real. You think they 'make' engineered wood floors out of sawdust or something?

engineered floors are REAL wood. they are thin layers of real wood with a core being plywood. (solid wood floors have a solid core) In a lot of circumstances they can be better than your solid wood because they expand and contract better than solid, making them a better choice for high moisture areas.

With proper care engineered wood floors can last just as long as solid. the only drawback against engineered is that solid wood can be refinished more times and last a bit longer due to that reason.

If you care about the environment there are companies that sell wood flooring saved from demolitions..and re- finished for re-use

I think the one on the left is lovely. We are currently in the same search for the magic flooring (in our case to go with existing cabinets in a new to us house). Good luck!

Here are some photos with maple (or similar in tone) cabinets and wood floors. Maybe seeing some kitchens it’s different colored wood floors will help you decide. Contrast or no? Brown-er or slightly red? I didn’t see any with gray tones.

There are actually 2 floor samples in the left (I didn’t realize when I took the pic that they were so similar). The upper is oak and the lower is hickory.
I am leaning towards a shade just slightly lighter or darker. I’m not a huge fan of gray floors, but I do appreciate the time you took to send that!

Upper left. Looks like a good shade of brown that works with your light cabinets.

Full disclosure: Anything that has the chance to look “striped” once it’s laid out in large rooms doesn’t get my vote.

Upper left is best but still very grey and not good with the cabinets. Is there a reason you aren’t doing site finished oak with a neutral color like provincial? Engineered wood is great (my house is all wide plank engineered oak) but your options so far aren’t good. (My house is partially slab and partially frame so I had to do glue down engineered)

Keep looking but narrow down your search. Details matter- the grainier the floor, the less grainy your cabinets look. The darker the floor, the lighter your cabinets look. The closer floor and cabinet colors match, the more monochromatic the kitchen looks. The more mid-tone the flooring, the more options you have for counter and backsplash.
