Paint all the walls the same color. it looks like one wall is grey and the carpet appears to be beige. perhaps it is just the lighting? its hard to tell from the photos but the different walls are giving an unfinished vibe.

Love this large room. Pulling the couch off the wall to create its own living room space is nice or moving your arm chair and side table towards the middle to create the space. Moving furniture is such an easy way to change your space. I’ve always heard move couches / chairs off the wall. Can’t wait to see what you do!

If the couch does not separate then maybe a smaller couch would be best? Love it though!

Hi Jennz9b Arizona, I think it’s the lighting. The walls are a greenish color but we think we have a painter coming soon.

floating furniture, especially a sofa offers options and interest... you can add a console/sofa table as another option for decor

Not sure why it would make a difference if the sectional back is to the home office. I would think that would be a private area and you wouldn't want it open to viewing.

Thank you. The room is 18’ 6” long and 12’ 9” wide. There is a coat closet across from the front entrance. If I only measure to that point, the room is 13’ 6” long.

The entrance to the primary bedroom is off the office space. I wasn’t sure if having the back of the couch to the office space, it would disrupt the open flow.

It is shiplap-like. The boards are wider than traditional shiplap.

I love your wall. What type of wood boards is that? So pretty Darra. Love the natural color too.

Not sure about the dimensions in your room, but this layout might work & would accommodate an even larger TV
