Genetically altered or not, they require the exact same care as any other type of petunia would - full sun (or close to it), adequate watering and a dose of liquid fertilizer every few weeks in summer.

Turns out the above is dubious and not to be followed for the Firefly Petunia as such, but I'm sure it's great for regular petunias. The Firefly's producing a large number of higher-energy photons, so it does have some special requirements.

Six hours minimum sunlight (with far more considered optimal), and they expect it to be a heavier than average constant feeder particularly in containers where nutrients will be limited, of course.

Higher levels of observation required, with removal of plant sections where luminance levels drop.

It's a new plant, so a lot of the recommendations are tentative. If I can isolate anything particularly helpful (I'm planning it for points with 8 and 10+ hours of sun), I'll chime in.
