Your room is very nice, pretty fireplace, high ceilings and spacious.

I don't see any lamps or people-level lighting, be sure to put those things on your list.

Unfortunately, I don't think you have enough clearance around your windows for properly hung curtain panels. Tailored roman shades would look good in your space.

I would post this in the design dilemma forum as well. There are people there who can mock up boards for you with good ideas for future furniture purchases.

Yes, it's very nice in a "we're just starting" way. The bones are definitely in place. What I'd add:

- I like curtains, but with so little space on the edges of those large, nice windows, I'd consider "dummies" on the edges /very narrow curtains. It'd bring in some softness, color and texture. I'm attaching a picture at the end ... it's not a great picture.

- How about adding a rug under the two sofas /coffee table?

- TV will take up space on what is now a big, blank wall ... that wall needs more than just the TV.

I'd say do those things, then evaluate again.

I’m a fan of bookcase walls with your TV wall but then we have a lot of books. However it would help warm up the room

May we have more pictures of the room with your back to the fireplace wall? Agreed, a much larger coffee table would be nice. Just hard to see the room. Best wishes.
