what is shown is a house thats been painted and cleared out and now sold. Your furnishings need to be inserted. there is not that much wood. Mostly there are newly painted white walls.....the kitchen is older and needs to wait before anything is done. Get some upholstered seating /lamps /area rugs /end tables /etc and then see how things fit and what new COLOR you may care to introduce. The gray carpet is unfortunate but it looks new and I like carpet so Id have to work with it and hope my things go with it. Do you have things????

Something to set up in eating area will be used for sure and youcan be a little creative and find things on Craigs List etc

The red wall is the most unfortunate part of that house. Did it sell quickly? I'll bet they didn't get to that part of repainting yet. If they left a can of paint I might do that pronto. The rest of it will look great with lots of furnishing styles. What is your personal style? So many designers here recommend moving in, living in the space for six months, then see what works and doesn't work for you. So many people make changes the day they get the keys, and are unhappy with what they did six months later.

You have red oak floors with maple cabinets.

What do YOU like? What is in your budget for remodeling. If it was mine I would paint all the trim white since A I like white trim and B you have white windows already. The oak floors could always be refinished less orange. The kitchen could use a complete overhaul if you wanted (though it looks spotless)

I agree to move in and live with things awhile. It doesn’t need to be perfect right away.
Definitely replace anything that isn’t functioning for you after you’ve figured that out. Stained wood can be so beautiful with the right furnishings. Try not to be swayed by trends-I think a lot of times we are attracted to the staging of spaces and not the spaces themselves. A lot can be done with paint, lighting, new cabinet hardware, and furnishings… paint that red wall.
