Design Dilemma Entry Organizing the Home

Mudroom placement for hooks

We just finished these built-ins. Where do I put the hooks? The dividers between each cubby is6 inches deep. Do I get 2 single hooks, 1 double, or 2 double hooks? Do I put them on the back wall or the sides? I would like this to be the spot for their backpack and coat. I don't know what will make the most sense

put them where they can be easily reached.

do a test run... get a backpack and have the kid hold it up to the potential hook hanging spot.

They don't all have to be the same if they will have different uses. Maybe a double row for those used by kids, so they can reach them now and move up to the taller row as they grow.

I agree with Chispa. So one hook at the top and one maybe halfway down for each cubby.
