Are you taliking real trees ? Even if they are the same they probably will not grow exactly the same. If you are talking fake take them to the garbage

It’s really about their proximity, overall location in room, and your taste. If very close to each other, I’d use one large one instead. If using two (same or different), suggest using similar containers.

Is that your room? If so - I don't see a space for another tree.

If you're not showing the area that you're considering, then I see nothing wrong with two different trees.

i would skip the fake trees. you have a beautiful room and fake plants just look cheap.

This would be easier if we just saw the room. Two trees that are matching, probably not.

Thank you all for the responses! Here is a picture of my space. We are going to update the shelves/mantle and stone next month. We just removed toys from the right corner of the room. I placed our dining room plant in the corner to see how another plant would look. I plan on placing them both in larger planters to add some height. What do you think?

Maybe try them together in the left corner and duplicate their pots. If you like both there, maybe add a smaller one, which would full that corner nicely.

I think two different types are trees are fine. I also disagree with the purists pooh-poohing fake trees. They've come a long way since the days when they were obviously plastic, and not everyone has the green thumb or the serene surroundings conducive to nurturing real plants. Some artificial trees are extremely convincing and do a great job of filling a bare space in a room, adding texture and color.

(Of course, I don't light them with LED 4000K lights. ;)
