I have an existing cold water tap to our first floor fridge in the basement as shown in the photo.

I installed a new fridge in our basement and would like to tap into the existing cold water tap as apposed to splicing in a whole new tap/valve somewhere else on the 3/4" cpvc coming from the hot water tank.

Questions...

Is there a 2 outlet valve i can replace the existing 1 outlet valve with?

If there is a 2 outlet valve, is it against code to use it below the sink to allow me to supply water to both the sink faucet and the fridge that's 4 feet away?

If i can replace the valve under the sink, i would save me from having to route a 1/4" copper line from the hot water heater along the basement ceiling floor joists, then down through the stud wall where the fridge is located.
