Fill the area with plants. I would group the 3 decor items to the left side of the stairs at different heights.

The daffodils are pretty now of course but they’re not longlasting. Personally I would select one type of blooming perennial, maybe 7 or 9 of them, making sure to set 2 next to the daffodil clumps to somewhat conceal them as they slowly fade. Then plant the rest in two other groupings in the bed.

Whatever those two green balls are, right next to the brick wall, are too close to the wall. They should be 2 feet away.

I would consider reducing your porch decor items by at least one.

The bulbs look happy there. I might do succession planting of different ones to have color a lot of the year. Maybe a several inch wide border of spring crocus and snowdrops right along the edge of the walkway, then another band of grape hyacinths, then some full clumps of daffodils and tulips. Allium or similar for summer. Lilies, etc. Add a bunch of fall flowering crocus and look for some summer flowering perennials to fill in.

You could search for pics of plantings that appeal to you, then, if you're not familiar with plants, take the pics to a nursery (not a big box store) and ask for help finding the same plants if they do well in your area and site, or for recommendations for similar plants that will work in your spot. Make sure to add some flowering evergreen shrubs, some things that are evergreen, different heights and different foliage sizes and colors, fragrance.

You could add some pots of flowering annuals on the steps.

"Decent sun in early afternoon" is how many hours of sun?

I'd put some coreopsis next to the downspout. Add some coneflowers and some agastache. Pick a color scheme. If you want plants that are all low-growing, pick dwarfs.
