get deeper night stands the ones you have are all wrong for the bed.

I think I’d go shopping. Put the ones you have in the guest room or put one on top of the other as a shelf.. Then find a bigger table for bedside.

I feel both the depth and width are off. Hard to tell the depth of yours (14”?). Suggest 21” in a wood tone to complement the strip on wall/with nightstand centered and add a modern lamp. Overall, you’ll create nicer proportions/be more functional.

Your nightstands are not the right color and size for your room.

Turn the nightstand 90 degrees, parallel to the bed vs perpendictular.

I would push it back 6-8” and away from the bed 6-8” and see if that looks any better. If not, I’d get new deeper nightstands. But I woudnt have them butted up against the bed like you do. I think they look better with a gap.

Try a desk or a dresser in that spot.

So if I’m understanding correctly, you want nightstands that are deeper than usual but look purposefully so. Depending on your dimensions you may need a custom piece made but a tiered style may help create that purposeful look. Now that particular product won’t work I’m betting because I didn’t see any dimensions of the space but it gives an idea to the shape you suggested but with one piece of furniture.

There ar successful way to handle the nightstands when this bed is used. You need better nightstands. Yours are UNDERSIZED!!

I see two solutions. One is to get new, very deep nightstands. Those might not be hard to find - you could use a desk or small set of drawers. If you like what you have, you could also purchase a silk tree to put behind the current nightstand. That will still allow you to see the beautiful wall behind the headboard, keep the current nightstands, and will hide the cords. You could also put a small upright on the trees for some different lighting at nighttime.

If you don't want to chnage the nightstands, changethe bed frame to a shallower headboard. One or the other, as mentioned above the scale is way off currently.

Buy bigger, deeper nightstands. That is all.

fj1986 - I have a similar dilemma with my new home and sofa. I need much deeper tables, chests, whatever. I’m going to look at vintage because sometimes old furniture was huge. That may not help you because you have a contemporary aesthetic. Good luck to you, though!
