So sorry to see this Micheal……Did you happen to do a slug drench? One year I made a mistake in my mixing and got spots on leaves. Otherwise I have never seen this issue.

If the spots become surrounded by brown tissue it could be anthracnose. A foliage disease that resembles scorch, sunburn or frost damage. Just looked up white spots on hostas. The Missouri Botanical Gardens has a site showing different hosta issues.

I'm seeing the possibilities of ammonia mixture for slugs. Maybe drops stayed on the leaves after the sun came out? I had that same thing last year, where the solution pooled and stayed on the leaves.

I’ve been checking in hoping to see some answers for mbug. Michael has such a great collection of hostas that I hope it is something that’s a one-time annoyance and not any disease affecting them. It does look like those spots will brown out this year.

Phew! You must feel relieved. Those lawn guys…. most of the time they’re helpful, but every now and then they mess things up.

What a relief!! I would certainly want a word with my lawn guy though!!

Michael that is a relief in a way but quite disturbing that these lawn care companies are so careless. Lisa (sandyslopes) had issues as well this year.

Thanks again for your kind concern. I did speak with the lawn guys they were apologetic and reassured me they would be more care full. I was worried it was something that would spread, so I was happy to find out otherwise. This is a great group!
