A large production facility vs an individual who gets subcontracted by kitchen remodeling outfits??? or a cab maker who designs and installs but small volume of projects? it depends . with covid in recent times ive known carpenters who couldnt get the boards they wanted..... with what was avail , some did , and some did not , pass the price hikes on to the customer…. its a peculiar time so i think you have to know more.

Custom cabinet maker who does some installs. They have revs of 2,000,000 last year if that helps.

I think it would depend on your local customer bases too. As in specific. Around here there is a bigger custom cabinet outfit, they use stock to create the customs. There are also custom makers that order wood and make cabinets. And a few that mill their own wood to make cabinets. I'm in an area that has some very high end vacation homes and quality tourist action as well as more regular custom needs. They all have their own scope of customers and probably years of better and worse. If I look at the nearest University town or big city, they aren't far away... but for sure have some different client bases for the cabinet makers.
