detailed to scale floor plan would help. Pic with black furniture looks too close to TV and risks getting in head with pool cue.

21 x 18 room. 21 is length from tv side wall to other wall. 18 is length from front door (2 ‘ insets of each side of door). The tv area blue tape is a 8 x 10 rug. The first blue tape behind the black couch is the other 8 x 10 rug, so the 2nd blue tape after that one is the pool table edge. Not using the black couch just put it there for area I want to put seating.

I'm thinking about those cue sticks at head level for those seated, so get floor seating, and the type that can be arranged in any configuration.

Then determine the size of the rug to fill in.

A counter-height table and chairs would be convenient to sit while playing. There's always room for a bench against a wall.

Agree with those mentioning the cue sticks. I suggest you actually get a cue stick and see how close it gets to the people watching TV.

Thx for the comments. I measured 5 feet from the table to the couch to make sure we aren’t knocking peoples heads. Ha. My main dilemma is how to set up seating and what type of seating for that area. It’s a small area. 8 x 10. Would like guests to be able to either talk or watch a movie in that area. Just don’t have a lot of room to work with.

Google more low seating types. Think about a long U shape sectional for your room.
