The decision regarding seating should have happened in the planning stages, not now. Your decision will be governed by not only the view but the position of the TV.

Did you place any outlets in the floor to accommodate floor or table lamps?

Jeff, as the others have posted, I would locate the one couch farther away from the windows than your design indicates (more to the left of the fireplace). I would put an end table in between the corner point of the two couches (in other words, the two couches are separated by an end table in the corner--the end table is the corner). So what Beverly shows except I would use another couch instead of chairs and I would include a coffee table like Beverly did in front of the fireplace. And unlike Beverly, I wouldn't put an isolated chair in front of the view. To me, Celery's suggestion just has too much froo-froo pillows and other things going on for my taste--but of course, anyone has their own tastes. If the view looks a bit naked, I would stick a low (not very high) console across the spot instead of a chair. It's a great, great view--why clog it up with a chair?

Forgot to state the obvious. It is a gorgeous view.

@deegw The wood is Lyon Tressor European oak, engineered. We went with an engineered product because it's a pretty dry climate and didn't want the cracking one may get with solid wood: https://www.provenzafloors.com/hardwood/detail?sku=PRO2505&color=Lyon&collection=Tresor. No TV in this room.

@ BeverlyFLADeziner Ha ha, planning that far in advance; with our design review board, county permitting it's been a 3 plus year project, literally. Yes, there are 2 outlets in the middle of the floor. No TV in this room.

Haven't found a "v" shaped couch we like yet.

@ HU-910663146 Good points, especially not furnishing in an overly busy way with various items; we're kind of minimalists anyway. Plus, we'll keep the patio furniture low so it doesn't obstruct the view.
