IMO I like the TV in the FR clse to the kitchen and then the LR more for guests and conversation. I never like the TV above the FP and the FR could easily have the TV beween the windows and honestly the FP in thta space is wakward at best so like a corner one I would prbably just kind of ig nore it so furniure mostly jayed out for the TV watching As for a mud room I do not see a way to add one and I assume that entry into the FR is from the garage. Is the garge heated ? If so then IMO mostly the mud room in the garage with just enough staorage in that closet for one coat one pair of shoes per persone all else goes to their bedrooms or in the garage mud room.OR turn the FR into a mud room and DR and use the DRfor a TV room . You some options so maybe wait until you move in to see how the house functions. I like TVs in spaces where watching can be done without a huge noise when others want quiet
