I do not eat at the table. We generally play board games or sit and read.

Given its usage, I’d opt for low comfy chairs and a coffee table. Also suggest making it cozier/more attractive with landscaping and even a tree for shade.

Ditch the table and chairs, or if you're going to keep seating there definitely landscape around the outer edge.

Lounge area, not a dining area. And introducing a stone wall or at the very least a curved hedge could really define the area better.

So, your seating area just looks weird as is. I would suggest you incorporate something similar to what BeverlyFladeziner has pictured above along with some flowering bushes and plants for privacy.

It's hard to see the color of your patio stone but I would not do red. I would get something that is same as patio or close to it.

Not a big fan of furniture in the front of a house. If you have backyard space that can accommodate seating and a table would suggest you remove.

Lucky you to already have a front patio, an area that became transitional spaces during the pandemic--the new front porch that is a little public and neighborly. Your patio can be a space to chat with neighbors, wait for the school bus, share a drink with friend before you go inside, open mail, watch the world go by. A couple colorful Adirondack chairs--no table needed. If you have the budget, sure, a curved stone wall would be great but not necessary. It's one thing to have a proper covered porch and enjoy a nice evening from it. The patio/deck in the front never looks right to me.

We had a round front patio as well, and ended up swapping the dining set for a conversation setup: two deep chairs and a small loveseat around a round coffee table. The circular layout works much better for chatting, and with a tray on the table it easily handles snacks or a game of cards. It also keeps the entryway feeling open.

A round outdoor rug helps anchor the space, two tall planters add some height, and a compact propane fire bowl makes it cozy on cooler evenings. For durability, I’d go with aluminum or recycled plastic frames paired with Sunbrella cushions, ours have held up well through spring slush and summer sun.
