Need help choosing colors

We have a 1998 Cape Cod farmhouse with a wrap around front porch. We had a significant hail storm (3" hail) and will be replacing vinyl siding and roof. Trim will remain white. I love silver/grey with dark shutters, red door but hubby would like more color but not real dark. Suggestions from you color experts/design experts out there? Also from experience what brand of vinyl siding were you pleased with and name of it? Thank you so much!

If I may, your house is not a Cape Cod; it is not a "farmhouse", and, for some unexplainable reason, the architect decided to add dormers in Victorian style, the most obvious issue. Sticking with that, remove all the faux, vinyl shutters and go with the Victorian feel and do a metal roof to add interest.

Why would you do vinyl siding again? The hail could hit you again next year. I'd consider LP Smart Siding instead.

Whatever type of siding or style do keep in mind that there are bricks on the house that should not be ignored. Pull a color from them. Your husbands love of color can be added on the front door and shhutters.
