Blooms so far this spring

last year

My daylilies are starting up, I will really be seeing a lot more in the coming week or so. They are on the early side this year

Crazy Ivan

Fern Stone is having an above average year, but so much rain, slugs are after it.

Lillian's Vapor Trail. I moved it last fall, 4 fans I believe. It came up with 7 fans, and scapes. This will be the best I have ever seen it, I think it likes its new home

Martin Blondeel was my 1st daylily to bloom after dumortieri

Multiple Multiplications, slug damage?

Rudy's Funhouse

Terry Lyninger

Violet-backed Starling

Westbourne seafoam Candy is supposed to be a mid late bloomer, but has bloomed early the 3 years now I have had it. It does rebloom about midseason so far. Much prettier shade of pink in person

Wonder of It All

Prelude to Panopoly

Nancy: So glad you are posting again. I like the delicate color on Prelude to Panoply and your shot of Terry Lyninger is great. Rudy's Funhouse is an eyecatcher. Don't remember seeing it before................Maryl

Nancy, LVT does appear to like its new spot. It multiplies well for me and has a lot of buds. I agree, Terry Lyniger photo is great. How large a bloom is Rudy’s Funhouse?

Terry Lyninger is lovely, but rather short and fades terribly in the sun. Not a huge bud count. It is so distinctive that I hang on to it though. I am going to try it in a shadier spot. Faberge Easter is a much better plant with a similar look though, so may just get rid of Terry. I have such a hard time doing that though. I love Rudy's Funhouse. Got it a couple of years ago from Pat Ball, I feel it was in the midst of summer. It was not really happy, but did bloom. It blooms early bloomer for me, so now I am surprised that it did, since she is farther south than me, and I got it late. Not a rebloomer, so I am confused, LOL. Of course, not its best but was pretty good. I moved it that fall to its permanent position and it has bloomed the last 2 years very nicely. It get attention from visitors. The color is not quite so pink as the picture shows though, but I can't describe it. Maybe rusty pink? Was not sure about the color when I first saw it, but I quite like it now.

Fern Stone is so pretty as are Rudy's Funhouse and Violet-backed Starling. Martin Blondeel is also nice.

Good to see this group! Is your Crazy Ivan short like Kay's? Too tender for here anyway, I suppose. There are some pics of big clumps of Rudy's F online, so it must be a good grower.

Lillian's Vapor Trail does seem to like its new home. It lookd like you will have lots of blooms from it. Rudy's Funhouse is a neat one. Is that one new? My daylilies are about a week earlier than usual.

Lillians Vapor Trail will be a standout for you this season. It seems like a good performer for all that grow it. What a gorgeous photo of Wonder of it All. Does it ever hang up for you?

Thank you Kay! I love the blooms on Terry L, but that fading thing may shove it out of my garden. I can handle the short scapes, but as long as most are out of the foliage, I can handle that. I can handle fading on a lot of daylilies, but I find this especially unattractive. I definitely need to find it a spot I don't go past in the afternoon.
